Research for a Breton typeface. In Breton, “Ker” means “town”. Going back in history, we notice an abbreviation written using the crossed out K, visible on the map in the second slide. The design of the characters is therefore based on this bar of the crossed out K. The design of this typeface is still in progress.
The printing support is a map of Bretagne. I also published a small test edition with a text that I wrote and photos that I took of this region. The text was translated into Breton by Erle Marec, Breton, artist, photographer and architect.
